Is there really a free tier?+
Yes — the Reader plan is free forever: the free sample chapter is open to read, and your progress and notes are saved. The rest of the library is paid — buy a single volume, or take Scholar for every chapter of every volume plus progress sync across devices, section PDF export, and priority support.
Can I cancel any time?+
Always. Cancel from your account page in one click, and you keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for — a yearly plan runs to its renewal date. We do not prorate a partial refund automatically; if you are within 14 days of your first paid charge, email us and we will refund it in full. Renewal charges are not refundable. No retention dance, no email gauntlet.
What's the difference between Scholar and the free Reader plan?+
Reader is for sampling. Scholar is for working through the whole library — every chapter of every volume, your notes/bookmarks/progress synced across devices, and PDF export of any section so you can read on a plane. Scholars also get new volumes the day they ship.
Do you offer a team / classroom plan?+
Yes — we have a Team plan with shared reading-group rooms, shared notebooks, SSO, and invoicing. It is set up by hand rather than self-serve: email [email protected] with how many seats you need and we will get back to you.
Refunds?+
If you're not satisfied within 14 days of your first paid charge, email us and we'll refund you in full — no questions, no forms. Renewal charges are not refundable.
